Welcome to the Theta Lambda chapter of Phi Mu Alpha Sinfonia! This year we are currently celebrating FIFTY YEARS of faithful dedication to the campus of Hardin-Simmons University and the city of Abilene, Texas. As always, we have been striving to help our community in many different ways.
The annual All-School SING! event in October of this past year was another rousing success. All of Hardin-Simmons came out during Homecoming weekend of 2008 for a night of music and entertainment from the social and service clubs on campus. The event brought in even more revenue than years past as the program itself continued to grow and thrive. As a chapter we would like to thank our sisters in the Gamma Phi chapter of Sigma Alpha Iota for the continued support in running the event from beginning to end.
Now into the spring semester, we are currently in the middle of initiating ten probationary members comprised of music students on campus. They are a group of amazing musical men who will only help the chapter continue to grow into the next fifty years.
We welcome all current and alumni Sinfonians to
attend our regularly scheduled meetings on Monday nights. If you, as an
alumni, are interested, please contact the President or ARO and they will give you the details on the upcoming meetings.
If you are interested in our Fraternity and would like to see a video about us, then check this out! http://videos.sinfonia.org/thejourneybegins/ . Enjoy!
